Museo De Arte Moderno De Bogota (Mambo)

HISTORY:
The MAMBO was originally created on july 27, 1955 as a private and non-profit entity, but in october 31, 1963 when it really starts to operate such a museum when the renowned art historian and critic Marta Traba assumed the Directorship watching the need to create an institution to preserve and disseminate the works and the most representative national and international artists, so it was possible to establish a cultural heritage that would support the Colombian artistic work of the period, in addition to present the most significant art international contemporary. In 1969 Gloria Zea was appointed as the director of the museum, who has been the manager of the museum since that.
MISSION:
The mission of the museum of modern art in Bogota is to investigate, promote, publicize and protect the interest for all the manifestation of the plastic and visual arts modern and contemporary in Colombia.
VIEW:
This museum is one of the most representatives of our capital city because here we could find many important art pieces done by national and international artists, the museum is very confortable and here you could find friendly people who will guide you and explain you all the things you want to know, this one is a good experience.
